People & Development Manager – Hospitality

About the role

The People & Development Manager will act as a strategic partner to the General Manager of Soho House Beach Los Cabos and Cecconi's Los Cabos. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will oversee daily HR operations, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with local leadership to design and deliver training and development programs.
• Implement and communicate HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and consistent application.
• Manage recruitment processes, including screening, background checks, and onboarding.
• Maintain employee benefit programs, wage and salary structures, performance evaluations, and annual increases.
• Oversee employee relations initiatives such as team events, morale programs, and the Employee of the Month/Year awards.
• Handle progressive discipline, terminations, and all aspects of worker’s compensation and leave administration.
• Monitor turnover metrics, safety incentive programs, and HR‑related loss‑prevention SOPs.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and development pathways for managers and supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted business partner to senior leadership.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and conflict‑resolution skills.
