People & Operations Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual People & Operations Coordinator to serve as the central bridge between management and a large field team for a commercial cleaning firm operating in NYC and New Jersey. The role is fully remote and focuses on HR compliance, hiring, onboarding, and daily operational logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hiring, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes for a 24/7 workforce.
• Maintain accurate employee documentation and serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries.
• Communicate with staff via phone, WhatsApp, or Google Call and partner with outsourced HR to ensure compliance.
• Upload, maintain, and adjust schedules in the operations system, ensuring clock‑in/out accuracy for payroll.
• Support Area Managers with operational coordination and follow‑through.
• Organize Google Drive folders, create and manage spreadsheets, and keep workflows up to date.
• Proactively flag and resolve issues before they escalate.

Required profile

• HR support experience in a U.S. labor‑based business, preferably in NYC.
• Familiarity with people‑heavy operations such as cleaning or hospitality.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Availability during core hours 7:00‑11:00 a.m. EST Mon‑Fri and 7:00‑9:00 a.m. on weekends.
