Physical Flows Supervisor

About the role

The Physical Flows Supervisor is responsible for leading a logistics team, ensuring smooth material movement from receiving through production to shipping. The role combines people management, safety oversight, and continuous improvement of operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and train new team members, including temporary staff, and develop multi‑skill training plans.
• Monitor daily attendance, safety compliance, and performance metrics; update Gemba boards and validate working time.
• Enforce standard operating procedures, traffic rules, and TPM standards for equipment maintenance.
• Prepare weekly logistics headcounts, organize shift schedules, and coordinate with supply‑chain managers on material flow.
• Escalate critical issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure QCDM (quality, cost, delivery, morale) targets are met.
• Conduct annual appraisals, salary reviews, and career interviews to foster a positive work climate.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising logistics or warehouse teams.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, TPM, and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze staffing needs, plan training, and manage shift performance.
• Excellent communication skills for coaching, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
