Planner Buyer

About the role

ABB is looking for a Planner Buyer to join its Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo León. In this position you will manage end‑to‑end inventory planning, from purchase requisition through to customer invoicing, while supporting internal customer service queries.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain inventory policies and parameters (safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, replenishment strategies) in planning systems and ERP.
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders in collaboration with operations buyers and services.
• Coordinate material planning and call‑offs to ensure timely availability of components.
• Work with suppliers and internal buyers to improve on‑time delivery, minimum order quantities, quality, lead time and flexibility.
• Support internal customer service inquiries related to inventory and order status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning and scheduling in an ETO or MTO environment.
• Proven experience working with suppliers and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced level of English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Power Apps.
