Principal Product Engineer (Datacenter)

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Principal Product Engineer in its Intelligent Infrastructure Division to lead the technical direction and manufacturing programs for enterprise and hyperscale datacenter programs. The role covers end-to-end product development, from early NPI prototyping and integration through validation and large-scale production, and works closely with customers, suppliers, engineering, program management, manufacturing, test and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own product introductions and manufacturing performance for new and sustaining AI/ML, CPU, GPU, network and server platforms
• Organize teams and solve complex problems cross-functionally across hardware, software, firmware, performance and interoperability
• Provide thought leadership and direct engineering support to multiple manufacturing sites on product, test infrastructure, components and suppliers
• Share best practices with other Jabil facilities
• Guide customers and Jabil teams in resolving complex product, process and material issues using rigorous analysis
• Partner with site operations and test leadership on root cause investigations to improve FPY, test throughput and repair yield
• Serve as primary technical interface for customer product introductions and manufacturing performance on server and storage topics
• Contribute to the debug knowledge base, train test/debug leads and respond to feedback promptly

Required profile

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred
• 6+ years in hardware product development for enterprise servers, storage or networking products
• Experience in multi-site, multi-cultural and fast-paced environments
• Hands-on prototype fabrication and testing; experience with global suppliers and contract manufacturers is a plus
• Domestic and/or international travel up to 20% may be required
