Procurement Specialist (Onsite)

About the role

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its Operations team in Mexicali, Mexico. The role is onsite and focuses on managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for goods, materials and services that support aerospace manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement processes, standards and operational plans, including preparing RFPs, bid packages and cost analyses.
• Negotiate prices, prepare purchase orders and approve payments under general guidance.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding order status, changes or cancellations to ensure satisfaction.
• Compile price proposals, financial reports and other data to support reasonable pricing decisions.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or late shipments.

Required profile

• University degree with at least 5 years of relevant procurement experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years, or 9 years without a degree.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Understanding of Lean principles and contractual terms and conditions.
• Familiarity with APICS/ISM certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
• Experience using SAP for MRP is a plus.
