Product Development Engineer

About the role

Ford’s Product Development team is looking for an engineer who will use design thinking and user‑experience methods to create innovative, cost‑effective, and lightweight automotive solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring concepts from CAD models through testing to production launch.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop competitive, cost‑ and weight‑efficient designs for automotive systems.
  • Create and manage detailed CAD models and drawings.
  • Lead analytical and physical analyses to ensure designs meet all requirements.
  • Conduct product testing and support Production Part Approval Process (PSW).
  • Coordinate launch activities in Ford assembly plants.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electro‑Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the automotive industry or a related sector.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with CAD software.
  • Experience in analytical and physical testing methods.
  • Knowledge of product testing and PSW processes.
