Product Development Engineer – Laundry Structures & Package

About the role

Whirlpool is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join its Laundry Structures and Package team. The role focuses on the design, development, and validation of mechanical structures and cabinet components for global laundry products.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new product development, cost, and quality projects for laundry cabinet components.
• Develop and package structural components, including sheet metal, EPS, rubber, and glass.
• Lead technical specifications for all cabinet and package parts.
• Support and lead global cross‑functional implementation projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously using project‑management tools, coordinating with design, approval, manufacturing, and assembly teams.
• Conduct concept development, design creation, evaluation, verification, validation, and production rollout.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Automobile Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3+ years of product development experience.
• Strong structural knowledge and hands‑on problem‑solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team‑player with a results‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools, preferably Creo.
• Project management experience handling multiple concurrent projects.
