Product Engineer (Level 2‑3)

About the role

As a Product Engineer (Level 2‑3) you will own the engineering responsibility for a specific product or family of products within Bendix’s commercial vehicle systems. You will work closely with test, design, quality, manufacturing and supplier teams to deliver product changes that meet customer requests and design optimizations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage engineering activities such as product validation, DFMEA updates, drawing approvals and specification updates.
• Generate and update product documentation, including standards, DVPs and drawings.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to plan and implement drawing and model changes.
• Develop validation plans with Test and Corporate Engineers for design changes.
• Work with manufacturing, quality and assembly teams to ensure processes comply with product specifications.
• Create testing procedures, analyze results and provide recommendations.
• Evaluate and approve supplier PPAPs.
• Own DFMEA and lead product safety activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred for senior level).
• 2+ years experience for Engineer 2 or 5‑6+ years for Engineer 3.
• Experience in product validation, DFMEA/PFMEA, and root‑cause analysis (8D).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma processes and statistics.
