Project Engineer

About the role

Join Mondelēz International in Mexico as a Project Engineer and lead capital projects that support world‑class manufacturing, growth, and productivity. You will plan, develop, and execute engineering‑related initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver capital and technical agendas during project development phases.
• Develop and manage capital budgets, forecast cash flow, and control project costs.
• Ensure engineering standards and best‑practice processes are implemented across assets.
• Support state‑of‑the‑art equipment strategies to optimize resources and harmonize production lines.
• Oversee project timelines, scope definition, and stakeholder communication to guarantee on‑time start‑up.
• Accountable for the quality and results of capital projects according to Mondelēz standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering project management.
• Strong cross‑functional teamwork and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Senior‑level technical expertise across engineering disciplines (automation, control, mechatronics, mechanical‑electrical).
• Certification in Project Management or Construction Management.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Degree in Automation & Control, Mechatronics, or Mechanical‑Electrical engineering.
