PVT Powertrain/Underbody Product Development Engineer

About the role

This position is based on‑site at the CSAP plant in Cuautitlán, Mexico, supporting the vehicle production team. The engineer will address customer concerns, ensure vehicles meet design intent, and improve product quality for the Mach‑E platform.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver vehicle line and functional quality objectives (quality and cost KPIs).
• Manage product development activities and drive quality improvements for the Mach‑E.
• Review, bin and analyse external quality data; maintain a quality database for issue tracking.
• Lead containment and resolution actions with product development, suppliers and production teams.
• Conduct technical reviews, support change‑management meetings and lead plant trials for engineering changes.
• Utilise JIRA and quality tools to initiate, track and resolve issues.
• Analyse Connected Vehicle data to identify trends and support external concerns.
• Maintain Bill of Materials, approve or reject process deviations, and sign‑off vehicle, parts and process releases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Product or Quality Engineer in Powertrain or Chassis domains.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience with systems engineering and vehicle systems.
