Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will work on‑site at a Stellantis assembly plant, ensuring that parts meet strict quality standards. You will lead root‑cause investigations, develop containment actions, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain product integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Install and inspect parts on the Quality Assurance Flow (QAF).
• Validate containment actions on parts and manage PERs and IAAs.
• Perform incoming part sign‑off and correlate QAF data with supplier measurements.
• Lead root‑cause problem solving for build issues.
• Develop and implement interim containment actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years in automotive product engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, or product quality.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and Supplier Quality Manual processes.
• Experience with statistical data analysis, metrology principles, and root‑cause analysis methods.
• Understanding of vehicle design, assembly, tooling, and in‑plant processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; ability to work cross‑functionally.
