Quality Manager

About the role

ABB is looking for a Quality Manager to lead supplier assessments, drive corrective and preventive actions, and manage operational supplier quality for the NEMA Motors division factory in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall quality performance of the factory, monitoring indicators such as scrap, warranty claims and first‑pass yield.
• Manage supplier quality performance, including qualification, development and KPI tracking.
• Maintain the factory’s quality management system in line with ABB procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Lead rapid problem‑solving for product, process and supplier issues using proven tools.
• Execute supplier development processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise the cycle‑count, supplier quality and production quality teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in quality roles, preferably in the metal‑mechanic or electric motor industry.
• Degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage customers and suppliers under high‑pressure environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Experience using document‑management tools such as Compliant Pro.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management standards.
• Strong problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
