Recruiter Trainee – Talent Acquisition Entry Role

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a motivated Recruiter Trainee to join its Talent Acquisition team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to the full recruitment lifecycle for IT and engineering profiles within a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from posting vacancies to onboarding.
• Post job openings on internal and external job boards and professional networks.
• Source candidates using LinkedIn, job portals and internal databases.
• Conduct initial screenings via phone or virtual interviews.
• Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Provide regular updates to candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Assist with administrative tasks and support employer‑branding initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong motivation to start a career in talent acquisition.
• Basic understanding of IT and engineering roles (preferred but not mandatory).
• Previous internship or academic experience in recruitment or HR is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
