Sales Engineer - Polymers & Plastics (Mexico)

About the role

GateSource HR is recruiting on behalf of a client in Mexico to hire a Sales Engineer who will support the client's growth and strengthen its commercial activities in the plastics sector across the region. The role focuses on B2B development in polymers and plastics.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective clients throughout Mexico
• Uncover new business opportunities and expand the product portfolio
• Conduct client visits and help open untapped markets within the country
• Design and implement strategic sales plans
• Manage and grow existing customer relationships while pursuing new leads
• Build strong connections with key decision-makers
• Lead negotiations and close profitable deals
• Work with internal teams to ensure high-quality customer service
• Track and analyze sales performance to drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Commercial Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience in B2B sales and trading, preferably in the plastics or chemical industry
• Proven ability to develop new markets, set pricing strategies aligned with company guidelines and analyze market trends
• Intermediate to advanced English
