Senior Accountant (Reporting / GAAP / IFRS / Bilingual)

About the role

Gatesource HR is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Accountant with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience to oversee key accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy and support the organization's financial reporting and compliance needs. The role suits someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment who can spot process improvements and work well with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Prepare, review and post complex journal entries, accruals and account adjustments
• Prepare financial statements and management reports under US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Maintain the general ledger and manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules and capital expenditure tracking
• Coordinate annual external audits, prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation, and assist with corporate tax filings
• Support SOX compliance and strengthen internal controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning, and help departments monitor expenses

Required profile

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• Experience managing the full month-end and year-end close

Required skills

• Strong understanding of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge is an asset
• Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial modeling
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics
