Senior Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to lead end‑to‑end procurement of materials and services for our operations in Mexico City. The role ensures quality, cost and delivery targets are met while supporting our growth in the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order, expediting deliveries and resolving shortages.
• Lead complex sourcing projects, negotiate contracts, pricing, terms and service level agreements to secure best value and mitigate risk.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse spend data, identify cost drivers and drive savings initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement of procurement processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement or buying experience, including complex negotiations and contract management.
• Proven experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy or renewables sector.
• Fluent English and ability to travel occasionally.
• Strong commercial and analytical mindset with risk‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP (desirable).
• Data analysis and cost‑breakdown modelling.
