Senior Construction Estimator – Masonry, Brick & Concrete

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with deep expertise in stone masonry, brick, and concrete work to join a remote construction team supporting high‑quality residential and commercial projects across the US market. The role involves transforming architectural plans into accurate, competitive bids while collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full pre‑construction estimating process for residential and commercial masonry projects.
• Review architectural and structural drawings to determine scope, materials, and construction requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using ZiZi Takeoff or similar software (PlanSwift, On‑Screen Takeoff).
• Export quantities to Excel and prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and logistics.
• Develop pricing models, prepare professional proposals, and obtain material pricing from suppliers.
• Coordinate with subcontracted masonry crews for labor pricing and schedule evaluation.
• Include equipment and operational costs such as scaffolding in estimates.
• Upload and manage estimates using BuilderTrend or comparable platforms.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors for clarifications.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of experience in construction estimating for US‑based projects.
• Strong background estimating masonry, stone, brick, concrete, or exterior finish projects.
• Advanced ability to read US architectural and structural blueprints.
• Proven experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and building accurate cost models.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical construction experience.
