Senior Director of Collections

About the role

Kueski is looking for a Senior Director of Collections to shape and scale its end‑to‑end collections organization. The leader will define strategy, drive operational discipline, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering strong portfolio performance and a customer‑centric recovery experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate a long‑term collections vision, strategy, and success metrics in partnership with senior leadership.
• Align collections initiatives with company OKRs, ensuring both short‑term cash performance and long‑term portfolio health.
• Serve as the executive point of contact for collections performance, risk outcomes, and recovery strategy.
• Partner with Lending, Risk & Fraud, Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Operations to integrate and continuously improve collections processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with external collections agencies, technology providers, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Lead early‑, mid‑, and late‑stage collections across in‑house teams and external partners.
• Design data‑driven recovery strategies to optimize roll rates, cash flow, and loss mitigation.
• Own segmentation, contact, and treatment strategies by risk tier, product, cohort, and customer behavior.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in collections, credit, or related financial services.
• Track record of scaling operations to support rapid growth (10x+).
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Data‑oriented mindset with experience leveraging analytics, AI, and automation.
