Senior Finance Manager – Project Finance Lead (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are building a greenfield, Industry 4.0 manufacturing facility in Tlaxcala, Mexico, and need a senior finance professional to lead project finance. The Project Finance Lead will act as the strategic financial partner to the Project Manager, ensuring the project’s financial health, governance and compliance from start‑up to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for all project‑related financial matters and provide timely, accurate financial information.
• Monitor project deliverables, budgets and cash‑flow, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial targets.
• Design, implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Drive budgetary control, cash‑flow management and financial risk identification, reporting and mitigation.
• Support contract negotiations, ensuring favourable financial terms aligned with project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal governance frameworks.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports, operational metrics, KPIs and statutory filings.
• Coordinate statutory, tax and internal audits, banking requirements and liaison with Group Finance.

Required profile

• Qualified Accounting Professional (CA, CPA, CMA) or postgraduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Business.
• 8‑12 years of finance operations experience in manufacturing, preferably FMCG, with exposure to project execution.
• Proven track record setting up financial systems, processes and controls.
• Experience in due‑diligence, regulatory compliance, financial modeling and risk tracking.
• Ability to present financial insights to senior leadership or board‑level stakeholders.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
