Senior Fullstack Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Clara is a Latin American payment platform serving more than 50,000 businesses with corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments. It is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join its Integrations team, which connects Clara's financial platform to ERPs, banks, payment processors and other enterprise systems used by its clients in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia. The role is remote-first, with in-person ramp-up and occasional team events.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend integrations with payment processors, ERP platforms and financial infrastructure providers across Latin America
• Architect scalable, secure and observable services handling sensitive financial data
• Build and own frontend interfaces such as internal tooling, integration dashboards and configuration UIs when needed
• Use AI tools to automate engineering workflows, from scaffolding integrations to generating and reviewing code
• Review code, give architectural input and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Work with Product, Design and Data to turn complex integration requirements into reliable solutions
• Identify and tackle tech debt that creates operational risk or slows the team

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend software development, with at least 1-2 years full-stack
• Strong software architecture and system design skills
• Demonstrated use of AI tools across the development process (e.g. Claude, Devin, n8n)
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Working proficiency in English

• Nice to have: AWS, Metabase, Databricks, SQL or Python, fintech or payments background
