Senior Industrial Engineer

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer in Guadalajara. The role plans, designs, implements and manages integrated production and service delivery systems so that performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control are assured. It covers larger or more complex products, processes and workcells than the Industrial Engineer III level, with goals of profitability, quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and drive cross-functional projects, mainly within a workcell.
• Design optimized human interfaces for SMT and backend/DF, including raw material delivery, storage and line feed, product flow and online material handling, WIP management, ergonomic workstation design, process optimization, workcell layout, 5S housekeeping and assembly process development.
• Perform time study analysis, own and drive yield improvement programs, box build quotes and products, and provide systems support such as SAP, MES and IEDB.
• Act as subject matter expert or support other industrial engineers in areas such as work measurement, systems and metrics, ergonomics, capacity sizing, PFMEA/DFA, fixtures and tools, simulation, quoting and warehousing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research).
• Understanding of Jabil's global strategy and of the site's facilities and capabilities.
• Strong financial and analytical ability and proven track record of change management, continuous improvement and cost reduction.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD are required.
