Senior Procurement Buyer

About the role

As a Senior Procurement Buyer at Honeywell, you will lead the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring cost‑effective and high‑quality acquisitions that support the company’s operational goals. Reporting to the Sr Procurement Buying Manager and based in Mexicali, you will work on a hybrid schedule, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify procurement needs, select suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage the full purchasing cycle.
• Conduct supplier due‑diligence, evaluate performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor purchasing costs, pursue cost‑saving opportunities and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Support budget management, allocate resources efficiently and contribute to sourcing strategies that promote diversity, sustainability and innovation.
• Utilise procurement software and analytics to improve process efficiency, reporting and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or buying.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Advanced level of English.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• SAP procurement module.
• Proficiency with procurement software and tools.
