Senior Project Manager – Feasibility & Site Activation

About the role

ICON plc is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization. As a Senior Project Manager for Feasibility and Site Activation, you will lead planning and execution of feasibility and site activation activities for assigned clinical studies, working remotely from Mexico or Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site start‑up and activation workstreams, ensuring quality and timeline compliance.
• Develop and manage FSA project plans, timelines and deliverables for assigned studies.
• Coordinate feasibility assessments, country and site recommendations, and start‑up strategies with functional experts.
• Manage essential document collection, ethics and regulatory submissions, and site activation milestones.
• Track progress against timelines and KPIs, identify risks early and implement mitigation plans.
• Serve as primary FSA contact for internal teams and customers on study‑level start‑up matters.
• Contribute to process improvement and share best practices within the FSA project management team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site start‑up and activation within clinical research.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and lead a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, ethics and contractual requirements for study start‑up.
• Excellent communication, organization and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % as required.
