About the role
SimplePractice is looking for a senior software engineer to join its new Mexico City hub in a hybrid capacity. You will work on both frontend and backend layers, primarily using Ruby on Rails, to deliver new features that power a practice‑management platform used by over 200,000 health‑care providers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, code, test and ship end‑to‑end features for the next‑generation practice management platform.
- Implement a wide variety of planned service enhancements and new product capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership and talent teams to shape technical direction and hiring.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and ensure high‑quality, maintainable code.
Required profile
- Passionate engineer who pushes technology limits to create outstanding user experiences.
- Enjoys good design and brings that sensibility to frontend work.
- Motivated by building products that help hundreds of thousands of customers daily.
Required skills
- Expert‑level knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
- Extensive experience in frontend development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS or modern frameworks).
