Senior Software Engineer – Remote (Mexico)

About the role

Phil is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical development for the Growth team of its Pharmacy Platform. This remote position, based in Mexico, will design and scale backend systems, create AI‑driven workflows, and build repeatable client‑onboarding playbooks.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain low‑latency APIs and microservices using AWS native services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Design configuration‑driven technical playbooks to accelerate client onboarding and program launches.
• Implement sophisticated rule‑based workflows for pharmacy operations, compliance, and patient engagement.
• Drive AI‑first development by building intelligent automations that improve platform quality and release velocity.
• Write clean, observable code with robust logging and monitoring to ensure zero downtime in a critical healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and external stakeholders to align engineering output with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience designing and scaling backend systems in a cloud environment.
• Strong technical leadership skills, able to guide cross‑functional teams and mentor engineers.
• Deep understanding of healthcare or health‑tech domains is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into reliable, high‑performance software.
