Senior Workcell Manager - Healthcare Manufacturing

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Senior Workcell Manager for healthcare manufacturing. The role plans, directs and coordinates the operations of production, machinery, processing and packaging departments, leading workcell leaders and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor team member turnover, manage hiring according to the workcell business forecast, and coach and mentor workcell leaders while creating succession plans
• Set clear measurable goals, evaluate team members on time and drive continuous improvement in key operational goals
• Understand campus strategy, define and implement a manufacturing strategy, share best practices across workcells and streamline processes to reduce costs
• Use tools to monitor departmental costs and cost trends, and ensure 100% adherence to health, safety and quality policies
• Handle sensitive information appropriately, solve customer problems quickly and take ownership of manufacturing tools such as QRQC and LPA where applicable

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training
• Five years in a manufacturing supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of workcell management experience
• Experience managing complex multi-customer workcells and/or large mono-customer workcells
• Ability to read and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents, and to communicate with upper management
• Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
