Site HR Business Partner

About the role

The Site HR Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with site leadership to drive HR initiatives that support operational goals, improve organizational effectiveness, and enhance employee experience. Reporting to the Site Director/Manager of Human Resources, the HRBP will manage recruitment, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and policy implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and support employee engagement and community events.
• Investigate employee concerns, compliance issues, disciplinary actions, appeals, discrimination allegations, and union grievances.
• Develop department goals, objectives, and systems in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment: advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers, pre‑employment physicals, and record‑keeping for affirmative action.
• Conduct onboarding processes and facilitate new‑hire integration.
• Review benefits with employees, assist with enrollment, changes, and cancellations; organize annual open enrollment communications (US only).
• Maintain compliance with local employment laws and support occupational health, workers’ compensation, and return‑to‑work processes.
• Enter and update employee data in HR systems, generate reports, and maintain records per retention policies.
• Conduct research, special projects, and prepare summary reports.
• Assist the broader HR department with additional projects and initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of HR experience covering employee relations, talent management, and performance management.
• Proven experience in a strategic HR role or as an HR Business Partner.
• Experience working directly with senior leadership and business units.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
