Software Engineer, Languages and Platforms

About the role

Google is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Core team and focus on Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM) optimization and code generation. The role involves enhancing toolchain performance, scalability, and safety to support Google’s large‑scale products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive Software Engineers and Team Leads to improve LLVM and related technologies.
• Develop infrastructure changes and automation that keep the C++ toolchain efficient and correct.
• Contribute upstream to the LLVM project to align it with Google’s needs.
• Support build scalability, toolchain velocity, and peak performance across Google’s platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in C++ or Python (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Mexican citizenship as required by local labor law.
• Interest in low‑level programming, compilers, or toolchains.
