Staff Components Engineer

About the role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Staff Components Engineer to ensure a continuous, high‑quality flow of components for instrument assembly. The role focuses on cost‑effective sourcing, supplier collaboration, and technical validation to support the production of advanced electrophysiology devices.

Key responsibilities

• Produce component cost comparisons and evaluate alternative manufacturing methods for Cost Improvement Projects (CIPs).
• Determine tool and spare‑part requirements to maintain uninterrupted component supply.
• Lead technical projects with suppliers to enhance process capability, maintenance, and overall instrument performance.
• Provide technical support for the approval and validation of supplier‑driven changes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align component specifications with instrument requisites, quality standards, and delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience in supply chain or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to manage supplier projects and drive cost‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills for cost comparison and process evaluation.
• Familiarity with technical validation and approval processes.
• Effective communication skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers.
