Strategic Planning Officer – Super Pollutants Accelerator (Mexico)

About the role
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) seeks a Strategic Planning Officer to support the Super Pollutants Accelerator in Mexico. Based in Mexico City, you will consolidate air‑quality, climate and short‑lived climate pollutant (SLCP) data into a unified, evidence‑based national planning framework and ensure that project information informs strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Track progress of air‑quality, climate and super‑pollutant mitigation projects across multiple sectors.
- Collect, validate and integrate air‑pollution and SLCP data into a national planning tool (e.g., LEAP‑IBC).
- Prepare policy scenarios, co‑benefit assessments and data visualisations for senior decision‑makers.
- Coordinate closely with the Technical Specialist, Air Quality Specialist and Quality Assurance/MRV Officer.
- Support the development of multisectoral mitigation strategies and institutional strengthening activities.
Required profile
- University degree in environmental science, engineering, economics or a related field.
- Experience in climate, air‑quality or SLCP projects, preferably in a policy or consultancy setting.
- Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with national planning frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the LEAP‑IBC modelling tool.
