Supplier Quality Assurance

About the role

The Supplier Quality Assurance professional acts as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal production quality engineers, ensuring that all incoming parts meet required specifications. This role is critical for maintaining product quality, reducing non‑conformities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage non‑conformances identified during incoming inspection and on the production floor, coordinating corrective actions with suppliers.
• Notify suppliers of non‑conformities and track resolution progress.
• Develop, modify, and maintain documentation required for incoming inspection processes.
• Monitor existing supplier metrics and implement new metrics as needed.
• Participate in Operational Excellence (OpEx) projects and drive Lean Six Sigma improvements.
• Supervise training of inspectors on inspection procedures and quality standards.

Required profile

• Industrial Engineering or a related technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or a similar field.
• Fluent English (C1 level) with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, FMEA, control plans.
• Experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to create, validate, and follow up on supplier non‑compliance reports.
