Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Materials Manager leads all aspects of materials planning, inventory control, logistics, warehousing and production scheduling to guarantee uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This senior position ensures raw materials and components are available on time while driving efficiency across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage materials planning, inventory control, logistics, warehousing and production scheduling activities.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to meet customer and production demands.
• Monitor inventory levels, material flow and key supply‑chain KPIs.
• Lead shipping, receiving and warehouse operations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives related to materials and logistics processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Materials Management within automotive manufacturing, focused on metal‑mechanical processes.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills; English proficiency preferred.
• APICS certification preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems such as SAP, Plex, QAD or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel and data‑analysis capabilities.
• Inventory management expertise.
• Production planning knowledge.
• Logistics and warehouse‑operations experience.
