System Administrator – Remote (Mexico)

About the role

This remote System Administrator position supports a global workforce from Mexico. The role blends hands‑on technical support, infrastructure management, and process improvement to keep systems reliable, secure, and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, peripherals, and IT equipment.
• Manage and prioritize requests using ticketing tools such as Jira.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and network issues.
• Oversee device lifecycle management, including inventory, deployment, maintenance, and replacement.
• Configure and maintain security solutions (VPN, antivirus, MDM, backup, firewalls, monitoring tools).
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and security standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge bases.
• Support network administration tasks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).
• Contribute to automation, scripting, and process‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on system administration or technical support experience.
• Proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience supporting users in a multi‑platform environment.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation practices.

Required skills

• Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN.
• Security tools: antivirus solutions, firewalls, backup systems, MDM platforms, logging tools.
• Ticketing system experience (e.g., Jira).
• Basic scripting and automation.
• Device lifecycle and inventory management.
