System Operations Engineer

About the role

The System Operations Engineer will ensure the stability and reliability of our application platforms. You will work closely with development and support teams to monitor performance, resolve incidents, and drive continuous improvement of our production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily application system operations and maintenance to ensure stable and reliable performance.
• Monitor and analyze application performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system incidents.
• Assist with application deployment and version upgrades for smooth and controlled transitions.
• Prepare and maintain operations documentation, including system change logs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide technical support and address issues reported by customers and internal teams.
• Conduct regular system health checks, proactively identify potential risks, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with development teams to support the operations and maintenance of development and testing environments.

Required profile

• Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent international qualification).
• At least three years of experience in application operations, maintenance, or system administration.
• Experience supporting applications in a large enterprise or multinational company is preferred.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework and best practices for application operations.
• Relevant certifications such as RHCE, MCSE, AWS, or Microsoft Azure are preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
