Tax Supervisor

About the role

The Tax Supervisor will lead and coordinate Harbour Energy’s Mexico tax advisory and operational compliance function across a complex multi‑entity upstream oil and gas structure. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the role ensures adherence to Mexican tax legislation and industry‑specific obligations while supporting business units throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax compliance for a 15‑entity upstream portfolio, covering corporate, indirect and hydrocarbon‑related taxes.
• Provide specialist advice on volumetric controls, REPSE compliance and cross‑functional regulatory matters.
• Advise Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, Legal and Operations on tax implications of transactions and organisational changes.
• Supervise one direct report and coordinate external advisors, auditors and tax authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement of tax controls, reporting quality and governance processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Mexican tax legislation, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong understanding of upstream hydrocarbon tax obligations and indirect taxes.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage external tax advisors.
• Experience supervising staff and implementing tax governance frameworks.
