Technical Project Manager – Automotive Airbag ECUs

About the role

The Technical Project Manager will act as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager, leading global, multi‑disciplinary engineering activities for automotive airbag ECU projects. You will ensure that customer and internal requirements are met on schedule, within budget, and according to safety‑critical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute engineering development, validation and release throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead international cross‑functional teams including mechanical, hardware, software, system architecture, functional safety, cybersecurity and resident engineers.
• Maintain and update the technical project schedule and manage technical risk.
• Support problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis activities.
• Manage budget and resources for technical development and testing.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for OEMs and maintain positive relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Systems, Industrial, Automotive) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in product development of safety‑critical automotive products.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 % of the time within Mexico or the United States.
