Test Engineer IV - Workcell Test Engineering Lead

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Test Engineer IV in Guadalajara to lead and direct the workcell test engineering staff. The role covers designing, developing and maintaining test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production, and acting as a Lead Project Engineer for the assigned customer workcell.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Test Engineers and technicians, coach them in the hiring process and monitor team turnover.
• Identify development needs, create or validate training curriculum and mentor staff.
• Set measurable goals, collect feedback and perform professional, on-time employee evaluations.
• Define and implement test engineering strategies aligned with campus direction, manage costs and report trends to the Test Engineering Manager.
• Communicate design and development to the customer's engineering staff and assign Test Engineers to customer workcells.
• Monitor workcell performance, manage the engineering test function for standard and custom devices and recommend process changes.
• Develop special test equipment and software, train customers on new products and lead training for test engineers.
• Analyze test quality, identify trends, drive corrective actions and oversee NPI activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Ten years of experience.
