UAP Manager

About the role

The UAP Manager will lead the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) function and drive operational excellence on the shop floor of our automotive production site in San Juan del Río. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) standards, developing the UAP team, and delivering continuous improvement across quality, processes, manufacturing and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HSE initiatives, allocate resources, and promote hazard‑hunting culture.
• Ensure strict adherence to TCS standards, LPAs, 8QBs, and 8D problem‑solving processes.
• Develop and coach the UAP team to maintain autonomy in quality, process, manufacturing and maintenance areas.
• Execute the annual training plan for MOI & MOD and deploy FES policies.
• Guarantee compliance with the production plan (PDP) and drive continuous improvement of DLE or TRS.
• Control inventories, obsolescence, scrap and manage work orders in SAP.
• Lead daily top‑5 shop‑floor meetings, communicate priorities and distribute workloads.
• Update monthly scorecards, conduct KPI analysis, and define improvement plans.
• Analyze quality reports, implement corrective and preventive actions, and oversee inventory control.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE practices and quality management systems.
• Ability to coach teams, develop training programs and drive cultural change.
• Excellent analytical skills for KPI monitoring, inventory analysis and problem solving.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate across supervisors and collaborators.
