Documentation & Customer Expert – Mexico

About the role

Pacific International Lines is seeking a detail‑oriented Documentation & Customer Expert to join its team in DF, Mexico. The role ensures smooth export and import cargo movements while delivering high‑quality service to customers and coordinating with customs, ports and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all documentation for export and import shipments, including manifests, corrections, retransmissions and cargo releases.
• Transmit documents to ports, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities and shared service centres.
• Ensure timely and accurate issuance of shipping documents to facilitate cargo release.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and shared services to reduce errors and improve productivity.
• Submit customs references before cut‑off dates and verify that required information is complete.
• Oversee invoicing of charges, vessel closure and manifest completion.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of export and import customs requirements and ensure compliance.
• Monitor exceptions, handle queries from back‑office teams and track outstanding revenue to guarantee correct invoicing.
• Process shipment‑related exceptions using the LMS system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics or a related field.
• Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Proven experience with sea‑shipping documentation and export/import processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using LMS (Logistics Management System) for handling shipment exceptions.
