Associate IS Specialist

About the role

Expeditors, a global logistics company and Fortune 500 employer, is looking for an Associate IS Specialist. You will manage the hardware and much of the software needs of your local branch and customer base, working with both technical and non-technical colleagues to improve branch processes and productivity. Ownership includes purchasing, inventory and setup of new systems and devices, and keeping the network running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the branch's hardware: inventory, end-of-life, ordering, setup and retirement
• Troubleshoot software issues, roll out new software solutions, and handle data backup, storage and security
• Build and develop solutions with operational teams that automate and optimize productivity
• Ensure the network operates consistently and efficiently

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IS-related field, troubleshooting hardware and Windows
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels

Required skills

• Programming experience or ambition to learn VBA and SQL
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
