Back-End Software Engineer – AI‑Accelerated Enterprise Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Back-End Software Engineer to help build a greenfield enterprise platform for a leading nonprofit fundraising services organization. The role operates in a fast‑moving, AI‑accelerated environment where engineers leverage AI coding agents as a productivity boost while retaining full technical ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable back‑end services and APIs for an order‑management and operational platform.
• Make independent technology decisions—architecture, database selection, authentication, and performance optimizations—and clearly articulate them.
• Utilize AI agents (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development, supervising and validating all generated code.
• Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems, including those lacking standard APIs, using stable and extensible patterns.
• Own end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments on cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Work autonomously, identify problems, devise solutions, and communicate progress without prompting.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, actively used within the last six months.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise system design, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline or equivalents), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Demonstrated use of AI coding agents in daily development workflows.
• Background in back‑end or full‑stack development with a focus on back‑end responsibilities.
• Experience integrating systems with limited or non‑standard APIs.
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising or order‑management domains is a plus.
