Business Systems Analyst I

About the role

Jabil, a manufacturer of engineering, supply chain and manufacturing solutions, is hiring a Business Systems Analyst I in Chihuahua. The analyst conducts business process analyses, needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analyses to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Research new information system development needs and write functional specifications for applications, enhancements and testing
• Analyse user requirements, procedures and problems to improve existing systems, and prepare functional, systems and program specifications
• Prepare project plans and implementation schedules, and give status updates on assigned projects
• Maintain documentation, recommend or conduct training, and act as escalation point for troubleshooting
• Keep relationships positive with employees, customers and vendors, and share ideas and information within the department
• Identify ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and drive continuous improvement through trend reporting and metrics management
• Ensure adherence to IT and company policies, including security, health, safety and quality, and protect confidential data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of work experience in a related position, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
• Thorough knowledge of emerging technologies needed for the job

• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions and to present information to customers and colleagues
