Clinical Scientist in CNS - LATAM

About the role

IQVIA's Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team, which works with life science and pharmaceutical companies on research such as patient-reported outcomes and qualitative studies, is hiring a Clinical Scientist in CNS for Latin America. As a consultant within ClinRO Services, you will directly administer assessments to clinical trial participants or evaluate the quality of assessments done by others and give feedback on interview technique and scoring. The position is home-based.

Key responsibilities

• Review scales administered by raters in a clinical trial to ensure assessments follow a standardized method and data remains reliable.
• Evaluate the quality of assessments, hold live interactions with raters about methodology and scoring, and give guidance when needed.
• Evaluate case data and prepare for discussions with raters, keeping relevant documents ready.
• Complete rater interactions and assigned tasks on schedule and submit all related documentation on time.
• Take part in orientation, training and calibration activities.
• Carry out functional assessments of rater performance (e.g., mock interviews) and help prepare and share communications.
• Contact clinical trial participants remotely (e.g., via a proprietary app) to administer assessments and record the results.

Required profile

• Master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing or Social Work, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience working with schizophrenia and major depressive disorder populations.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience administering psychiatric assessments, including the PANSS, to these populations.
• Clinical trials experience preferred.
• Advanced level of English.
• Home-based position in Latin America.
