Commercial Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join a leading company operating in a regulated industry. The successful candidate will provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice, focusing on commercial contracts, negotiations and M&A transactions while working closely with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, analyse and negotiate commercial agreements and related legal documents.
• Provide thorough legal advice to internal clients, presenting alternatives and practical solutions.
• Identify, mitigate and help prevent legal risks linked to business operations, partners, clients and suppliers.
• Support legal strategies that align with business objectives, including matters with commercial partners, wholesale clients and vendors.
• Manage assigned legal matters, ensuring proper administration, filing, tracking and control of contracts and documentation.
• Collaborate on the development and improvement of internal processes, guidelines and legal documentation standards.
• Prepare activity reports and ensure timely follow‑up on assigned matters.

Required profile

• Law degree with a professional licence / bar registration in Mexico (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions.
• Experience working with regulated companies or industries.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with contract/document management tools.
