Data and Analytics Associate Team Leader, Team Leader or Director

About the role

Oliver Wyman's Data and Analytics division, created in 2017, is hiring three related positions in Mexico City: Associate Team Leader, Team Leader and Director. The roles suit professionals with strong quantitative experience, especially in financial services, and offer a clear career path to partner level. About half the time is spent on client sites, with the rest off site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects: Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders typically handle one project at a time, while a Director handles two smaller ones or one large, complex one.
• Develop hypotheses, manage data collection, model creation and analysis, conduct primary and secondary research, and surface insights.
• Oversee analysts' work and use partners and the internal network to give technical and senior-level guidance.
• Work with clients to deliver high-quality project outputs and coach Oliver Wyman and client team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, informatics, data science or engineering.
• Associate Team Leader: at least 3 years of experience in specialised consulting firms, top-tier banks or financial institutions.
• Team Leader: at least 5 years of such experience.
• Director: at least 8 years of such experience.
• Excellent command of English, ability to work independently under limited supervision, confidentiality, willingness to travel regularly, and a hybrid arrangement of at least three days per week in the office or with clients.

Required skills

• Advanced analytics and data manipulation software such as R, Python, SAS, SQL or SPSS.
• Strong analysis, documentation and communication skills.
