Data DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data DevOps Engineer to own the deployment and automation of our cloud‑based data platform. The role focuses on Snowflake, CI/CD pipelines and end‑to‑end reliability of data workflows in a fast‑moving production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage data platform deployments across environments, ensuring smooth releases.
• Build and enhance automation frameworks to streamline data pipeline delivery.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake and data engineering workflows.
• Manage and optimise Snowflake environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Design, deploy and automate ETL/ELT processes using Matillion.
• Partner with Data Engineers to productionise and operationalise data pipelines.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve production issues.
• Implement DevOps best practices including version control, testing, release management and environment promotion.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment speed, reliability and scalability through automation.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake administration, performance tuning and data pipelines.
• Proven track record of running deployments and managing release cycles for data platforms.
• Experience building automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with Matillion or similar ETL tools.
• Proficiency with a cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, SQL or Bash.
• Experience with Git and version‑control workflows.
