Field Engineer - Radio Telecommunications

About the role

Motorola Solutions & Services Mexico manages the strategic planning and tactical implementation of awarded contracts, covering both system implementation and ongoing support and maintenance. As a Field Engineer, you will develop and implement post-sales strategies to install, set up and support complex radio and telecommunications systems for internal stakeholders and external clients, from pre-sales through to post-implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-sales: support the sales team through RFI, RFP and RFQ processes, contribute to system architecture and technical capability design, and help with coverage mapping, antenna configuration and frequency planning
• Post-sales projects: conduct site surveys for core and remote locations, assess space, power, grounding, towers, antennas, IP networking, demarcation points and backhaul, and build a technical roadmap
• Manage end-to-end installation, configure and install transceivers, antennas, routers, switches, core infrastructure and applications, and keep detailed as-built documentation
• Troubleshoot technical problems and perform field evaluations of coverage, interference and intermodulation, using frequency planning and reuse strategies
• Deliver ongoing post-implementation services, including warranties and routine maintenance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Informatics or related)
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a comparable technical setting
• Ability to handle travel of up to 50%; relocation provided, no position type specified
• English at B1-B2 level or equivalent
• Valid passport, driver's license and U.S. B1/B2 visa
