Finance Manager – Automotive Plant (Querétaro)

About the role

We are a high‑growth Tier 1 automotive startup establishing a state‑of‑the‑art metal‑mechanic manufacturing facility in Querétaro. As Finance Manager / Controller you will partner directly with the Plant Manager to design and lead the finance function from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Build the finance department from scratch, defining processes, policies and internal controls.
• Implement standard costing systems and manage Opex/Capex budgeting.
• Conduct manufacturing variance analysis (price, scrap, labor) and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican accounting standards (MFRS/NIF) and tax regulations.
• Provide strategic financial planning and reporting to global leadership.

Required profile

• 8+ years of finance experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years as a Plant Controller or Finance Manager.
• Proven background in automotive Tier 1 operations, preferably metal‑mechanic.
• Experience launching greenfield plants or building financial/ERP systems.
• Advanced English and native‑level Spanish; daily interaction with teams in China and Germany.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
