Head of Personal Insurance Claims, LAC

About the role

The LAC Head of Personal Insurance Claims leads the proactive management of personal insurance claim propositions across Latin America and the Caribbean. Reporting to the LAC Head of Personal Insurance, this senior position oversees a team of around 40 adjusters and analysts, ensuring efficient, customer‑centric claim handling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to achieve optimal loss outcomes through total cost of claim management.
• Lead and coordinate a regional team of personal insurance adjusters, authorizing reserves and payments within granted authority.
• Collaborate with global and regional claim executives to align resources, skill sets, and operational improvements.
• Report major claim exposures, including catastrophe losses, and drive continuous improvement via metrics and corrective actions.
• Develop relationships with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and external brokers to support business growth and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership and personnel management experience in personal insurance claims.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence in a global matrix environment.
• Track record of cost control, budget adherence, and process improvement.
• Experience driving digital, automation and transformation initiatives.
